WHICH PHONE HAS THE BEST DISPLAY?

Screen clarity is, obviously, a massive part of the smartphone experience, but which one of our star-studded smartphones comes out on top? We’ve put each of them under the scope.

iPHONE SE

326ppi

It isn’t until you get up close and personal with the SE that you notice the pixilation around the edges of app icons and the lack of clarity in individual colors.

 LG G5

554ppi

We’d put the LG G5’s display up with the likes of the Galaxy S7, it really is that good. You’d be hard-pressed to find any sort of pixilation in any area of the large display.

MOTO X FORCE

540ppi

If it wasn’t in the same test as the S7 and G5, we’d be heaping a lot more praise on the X Force. It benefits from AMOLED tech to help highlight the deftest of colors.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S7

577ppi

If there ever was a perfect smartphone display, this is it. The Galaxy S7 screen boasts a palette of 16 million colors meaning the level of detail involved is impeccable.

CAT S40

234ppi

A grainy finish to most icons and core animations leaves an untidy aesthetic to the LCD display of the S40. There’s noticeable pixilation throughout as well.

HUAWEI P9

423ppi

There’s a nice look to the color configuration used on the P9’s display, partially due to the enhanced IPS-NEO technology giving it some added flair.
